For Sale Please Inquire, performance on Astor Place, New York, NY, April 13, 2014
When I arrived in New York City to study in 1994, it was common to see men selling items on the sidewalk in front of my school, Cooper Union, in the late afternoons. This activity is no longer visible in the new Lower East Side. I chose to resurrect the form as protest, as a person deeply in debt and now out of place in this neighborhood, during Cooper Union's first public street fair.
